Fun Fact: I think the geometric yellow stone/rock shape kaleidoscope print in this dress is brilliant. It's sooo cozy too because it's a sweat shirt dress! I am totally feeling the bright yellow's and oranges for spring so this dress is right up my alley! We have had the ultimate week blogging in Calla's gorgeous clothing!!! Fun Fact: I love the length of this dress! Calla said she was inspired by Calla lilies when she designed this print! Talkin' about lilies...Calla's dog is named Lily Bear! and she is a chow-chow and sooo adorable! Click here to see pics of her pup! I love the belt and how it has built in gathering in it, Calla said it gives it a Vionnet feeling! We couldn't agree more! LOVE IT!

Fun Fact: I love how painterly this blouse is and how the blue and red colors remind me of a sky after a hail storm!...Purrrfection! Lately, I have been so into layering loose layers on top of eachother and belting them. This vintage grey jacket that I am wearing was used in the 1930's and teachers put it over their suits, so their outfits didn't get covered in chalk! Haha!

CALLA Collaboration- Day 1

Calla Haynes is our AMAZING friend who who has an unbelievable fashion label called CALLA. She is sooo talented and CALLA is one of our most favourite labels. We are so excited to collaborate with her and wear CALLA this whole week! Calla went to Parsons School of Design in New York and now lives and works in Paris. She worked with Olivier Theyskens at Rochas and then Nina Ricci in Paris, where she developed her amazing textile skills. CALLA is all about textiles and prints and her label is all about "relaxed luxury." We LOVE her clothes sooo much because they are always filled with pops of color. Her fabrics are sooo luxurious and are all made in France. CALLA was a finalist for the prestigious ANDAM award this year which is France's largest prize for young fashion designers. We are so proud of her!!! CALLA's Spring 2011 Collection is now in stores and selling at The Room at the Bay in Canada and Opening Ceremony in the U.S. to name a few (so check it out!) She just showed her Fall 2011 Collection during Paris fashion week... and it was gorgeous! Bald Eagle Pictures

Color and Size
The feathers of newly hatched Bald Eaglets are light grey, and turn dark brown before they leave the nest at about 12 weeks of age. During their third and fourth years, Bald Eagles have mottled brown and white feathers under their wings and on their head, tail and breast. The distinctive white head and tail feathers do not appear until Bald Eagles are about 4 to 5 years old. Their beak and eyes turn yellow during the fourth and fifth year, and are dark brown prior to that time. Bald Eagles are about 29 to 42 incles long, can weigh 7 to 15 pounds, and have a wing span of 6 to 8 feet. This makes them one of the largest birds in North America. Females are larger than males. Bald Eagles residing in the northern U. S. are larger than those that reside in the south. They have a life span of up to 40 years in the wild, and longer in captivity.
